OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY (UNIOSUN) RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Postgraduate Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for admission into various Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Professional Master’s, Academic Master’s, M.Phil./Ph.D., Ph.D., DBA and other postgraduate programmes across the University’s faculties.

The postgraduate programmes are available in the following faculties and institutes:

Faculty of Agricultural Production and Management
Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources Management
Faculty of Education
Faculty of Humanities
Faculty of Culture
Faculty of Management Sciences
Faculty of Social Sciences
Faculty of Engineering
Faculty of Environmental Sciences
Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences
Faculty of Computing and Information Technology
Faculty of Law
Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
Global Affairs and Sustainable Development Institute (GASDI)

Applicants can choose from hundreds of postgraduate programmes including PGD, M.Sc., M.A., M.Ed., MBA, M.Eng., LL.M., MPH, M.Phil./Ph.D., Ph.D., DBA, and several Professional Master’s programmes.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking admission into UNIOSUN postgraduate programmes must satisfy the following requirements:

Applicants must be graduates of Osun State University or any other university recognized by the Senate.
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and four other relevant subjects obtained in not more than two sittings. However, applicants into the Faculty of Law must possess five credit passes at one sitting.
Candidates with O’Level results obtained up to 2018 must present the original certificates during screening.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Applicants must possess:

A minimum of Third Class Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university; or
A Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit.

Academic and Professional Master’s Degree

Candidates must possess one of the following:

A minimum of Second Class Lower Division Bachelor’s Degree.
Third Class Bachelor’s Degree with a relevant Postgraduate Diploma obtained with at least 60% weighted average.
HND with Lower Credit plus relevant PGD with at least 60% weighted average.
Candidates with lower degree classifications may be considered for Professional Master’s programmes.

Ph.D. Programme

Applicants must possess:

A Master’s Degree with a minimum weighted average of 60% or CGPA of 3.50.

M.Phil./Ph.D.

Candidates with:

A Master’s Degree with a minimum weighted average of 55% or CGPA of 3.00 are eligible to apply.

Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

Applicants must possess:

MBA with at least 60% weighted average.
Minimum of Second Class Lower Bachelor’s Degree.
Other qualifications as specified by the University for the DBA programme.

TRANSCRIPTS

Applicants who did not graduate from Osun State University are required to request their former institutions to forward their official academic transcripts directly to the:

Secretary, Postgraduate College,
Osun State University,
P.M.B. 4494, Osogbo, Osun State.

Electronic transcripts may also be sent through the official email address of the former institution.

Complete the online application form.
Pay the application fee of ₦20,000 through the Postgraduate College Remita Payment Platform using an ATM/Nigerian Debit Card.
Submit the completed application before the deadline.
