OSUN STATE POLYTECHNIC, IREE (OSPOLY) ANNOUNCES MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (OSPOLY), is pleased to announce the formal Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. This ceremony serves as the official induction and “rite of passage” for all newly admitted students into the academic and social community of this prestigious institution.
According to an internal memorandum dated Tuesday, April 7, 2026, issued by the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), the event is a mandatory statutory requirement for all fresh students to validate their status as bona fide students of the Polytechnic.
I. EVENT SCHEDULE AND LOGISTICS
To ensure a dignified and well-coordinated ceremony, all matriculating students, faculty members, and invited guests are expected to adhere to the following schedule:

Target Audience: All fresh HND I, ND I, and NCE I students.
II. MANDATORY REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The institution emphasizes that only students who have fully regularized their records with the Admissions Office and their respective departments will be permitted to participate in the ceremony.

Final Deadline: Thursday, April 16, 2026

Requirements: All departmental clearances, payment of school fees, and online course registrations must be finalized by this date.

Penalty for Non-Compliance: Failure to complete registration within this window will be viewed as a lack of interest in the admission offer and will attract appropriate sanctions, which may include the forfeiture of admission or exclusion from the formal oath-taking exercise.
III. GUIDELINES FOR MATRICULATING STUDENTS

Academic Regalia (Gowns): Matriculants are required to appear in the official OSPOLY Academic Gowns. Details regarding the payment, collection, and return of these gowns will be communicated through the various Faculty Officers.

Dress Code: Apart from the academic gown, students are expected to be decently dressed in formal or traditional attire. The institution maintains a zero-tolerance policy for indecent dressing.

The Procession: All matriculating students must be arrived and seated at the venue no later than 09:30 AM. No student will be allowed to join the procession once the Rector’s academic party has commenced its entry.

Matriculation Oath: The administration of the Matriculation Oath is the climax of the event. All students must stand and recite the oath solemnly, as it constitutes a legal agreement to abide by the rules and regulations of the Polytechnic.
IV. ADVISORY TO PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND GUESTS

Seating: Designated areas have been provided for parents and well-wishers. We request that guests remain in these areas to maintain the orderliness of the academic proceedings.

Photography: To avoid disruption, professional photographers are advised to operate from the designated media zones and avoid obstructing the movement of the academic procession.

Reception: While the institution recognizes the celebratory nature of the day, students are advised to conduct any private receptions or celebrations in an orderly manner that does not disturb the peace of the campus.
