FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, LAFIA (FULAFIA) RELEASES IJMB ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Nasarawa State, through the School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS), hereby announces the commencement of the sale of application forms for the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The IJMB programme is a rigorous 12-month academic course designed to provide a reliable pathway for candidates seeking Direct Entry admission into 200 Level at FULafia and other participating Nigerian universities.

I. PROGRAMME OVERVIEW & COST

• Duration: Twelve (12) Months (One Academic Session).

• Objective: Preparation for the IJMB National Examination, which serves as a qualification for Direct Entry.

• Application Fee: ₦15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only.

II. ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for admission into the FULafia IJMB programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

1. O’Level Results: A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent) obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

2. Core Subjects: Credits must include three subjects relevant to the candidate’s proposed field of study, plus Mathematics and English Language.

3. Special Concessions (Deficiencies):

   • Candidates lacking a credit in Mathematics (Arts students only) or English Language (Science students only) may be considered for admission.

   • Note: Candidates cannot have deficiencies in both subjects. Any existing deficiency must be remedied before the completion of the 12-month programme.

• Closing Date: Saturday, 30th May 2026
