OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY (OAU) ANNOUNCES PRE-DEGREE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Centre for Distance Learning (OAUCDL), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, officially invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

This intensive programme is designed to bridge the gap between secondary education and university studies, providing a direct pathway into the various degree programmes offered by “Great Ife.”

I. ELIGIBILITY & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for admission, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Credit Requirements: A minimum of 5 Credits in relevant subjects at a maximum of two sittings (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB).

• Compulsory Subjects:

  • English Language: Mandatory for ALL courses.

  • Mathematics: Mandatory for Science-based and Social Science-based courses.

  • Literature-in-English: Mandatory for Law applicants.

II. PROGRAMME STRUCTURE & DURATION

• Duration: The programme runs for two (2) contact periods within a total of nine (9) calendar months.

• UTME Requirement: All enrolled candidates are required to register for the 2027 UTME during the programme.

• Examination Mode: The entrance examination will be Computer-Based (CBT). Applicants are strongly advised to be proficient in basic computer use.

III. SUBJECT COMBINATION OPTIONS

Candidates must select a combination that aligns with their intended degree path. English Language is compulsory for everyone.

IV. APPLICATION GUIDELINES & DEADLINES

1. Strictly Online: Application is strictly online. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.

2. Contact Information: Applicants must use valid e-mail addresses and PERSONAL telephone numbers for critical updates.

3. Submission Timeline: Forms must be filled and submitted immediately or within two (2) weeks of accessing the website.

4. Entrance Exam Centres: Testing will hold at the Ile-Ife Centre and a designated centre in Ikeja, Lagos State.

5. Closing Date: Sale and submission of forms will end on 30/06/2026.
