LADOKE AKINTOLA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, OGBOMOSO [LAUTECH] RELEASES UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso has officially announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Admission Screening Exercise for qualified candidates seeking admission into the institution.

According to the notice released by the university, candidates who selected LAUTECH as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as those willing to change to LAUTECH as their first choice, are invited to apply for the screening exercise.

The online admission portal opened on Monday, June 15, 2026, and registration will close on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

General Requirements

To be eligible for the LAUTECH 2026/2027 admission screening exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Score a minimum of 170 marks in the 2026 UTME.
• Upload their O’Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before August 22, 2026.
• Be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.

Candidates who do not meet these requirements may not be considered for admission.

Eligibility Criteria

For UTME Candidates

Applicants seeking admission through UTME must possess:

• A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects.
• The required credits must be obtained in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB examinations.
• Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

For Direct Entry Candidates

Candidates applying through Direct Entry must possess any of the following qualifications:

• University Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower.
• Upper Credit in ND, NRS, or NCE.
• At least Merit in relevant programmes.
• Lower Credit in HND.
• JUPEB qualification with five relevant O’Level credit passes.

Special Requirements

Candidates applying for:

• Medicine
• Nursing
• Medical Laboratory Science

must possess five relevant O’Level credits in one sitting only.

Step 2: Make Payment

Candidates are required to pay:

• Registration Fee: ₦2,000
• Portal Access Fee: ₦5,000

Payments should be made using an InterSwitch-enabled debit card.

Step 3: Complete the Application Form

After payment:

• Fill out the online application form carefully.
• Ensure all personal and academic information provided is accurate.

Step 4: Upload Passport Photograph

Applicants must upload a recent passport photograph that meets the following requirements:

• White background.
• JPEG format.
• File size not exceeding 20KB.

Step 5: Verify Course Requirements

Candidates are advised to carefully review:

• Available programmes.
• O’Level subject requirements.
• UTME subject combinations.

Important Notice for Awaiting Result Candidates

Candidates awaiting the release of their WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results are also eligible to apply for the screening exercise.

However, such candidates must ensure that their results are uploaded to the JAMB CAPS Portal on or before June 26, 2026, as stipulated by the university.
