KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC RELEASES HND (FT/PT) AND ND PART-TIME ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, is pleased to announce the commencement of the sale of application forms for admission into its Regular Higher National Diploma (HND) and Part-Time (ND & HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

II. GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HND

To ensure high academic standards, all prospective HND candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

• National Diploma (ND): Candidates must possess a National Diploma in the relevant field from a recognized institution.

• Academic Standing: A minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA of 2.50) is generally required.

• O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (including English and Mathematics) obtained at not more than two sittings.

• Industrial Training (IT): * One (1) year of post-ND cognate work experience for those with Lower Credit and above.

  • Two (2) years of post-ND cognate work experience for those with a Pass grade (CGPA of 2.00 – 2.49).

• Transcripts: Submission of official ND academic transcripts is mandatory. These must be sent directly to the Registrar.

III. PART-TIME PROGRAMMES & STUDY CENTRES

For working professionals and mature candidates, the Polytechnic offers flexible Part-Time programmes (ND and HND) at the following locations:

• Study Centres: Lokoja, Okene, Kabba, and Anyigba.

• Courses: Accountancy, Business Admin, Computer Science, Public Admin, OTM, Library Science, and Diploma in Law.

IV. METHOD OF APPLICATION & FEES

Candidates are strictly advised to follow the official online application procedure to avoid fraudulent platforms.

1. Portal Access: Visit https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng.

2. Payment Generation: Generate two distinct RRR Numbers via the portal for:

   • Admission Form Fee: ₦10,000.00

   • Screening Fee: ₦10,000.00

3. Payment: Complete payment at any commercial bank or through the portal using an ATM card.

4. Submission: After online registration, print the summary page and submit hard copies of all credentials to the Polytechnic Admission Office in Lokoja.

V. IMPORTANT DEADLINES AND ADVISORY

• Application Deadline: The portal will close on June 16, 2026, for Regular HND and June 30, 2026, for Part-Time.

• No Extension: Management wishes to emphasize that there will be no extension of the application deadline.

• Verification: Ensure that all names provided during registration match your O’Level and ND certificates exactly. Discrepancies may lead to automatic disqualification.
