The Rector, Dr. Musa Ahmed Zayyad, MNCS, on behalf of the Governing Council and the Institute Management, formally ratifies the commencement of the Maiden Combined Convocation Ceremony. This historic event marks the first collective graduation of the institution’s scholars, specifically honoring those who have completed their requirements for the award of Diplomas and Certificates.

As an institution dedicated to “Academic Excellence and Achievement,” the Maiden Convocation represents a significant milestone in Katsina State’s educational landscape, showcasing the Institute’s commitment to technical innovation and human capital development.

CONVOCATION CEREMONY: THE STATUTORY PROCESSION AND AWARDS

The ceremony is designed to be a formal academic rite of passage, bringing together the state’s political leadership, academic community, and families of the graduands.

  • The Mandate: Award of Diplomas and Certificates in various fields of Technology and Management.

  • The Highlight: Recognition of “Excellence Awards” for the best-graduating students across the various departments of the Institute.

EVENT SCHEDULE AND LOGISTICS

To ensure the solemnity and organized execution of the academic procession, all guests and graduands are expected to adhere strictly to the following schedule.

  • Date: Saturday, 25th April 2026.

  • Time: 9:00 AM Prompt (Guests are advised to be seated by 8:30 AM to allow for the entry of the Academic Procession).

  • Venue: School of Technology Auditorium, Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSTM), Katsina.

ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTIVES FOR GRADUANDS

Graduands are the primary focus of this “Maiden” celebration. To facilitate a hitch-free exercise, the following protocols are in effect:

  1. Academic Regalia: Graduands are expected to be fully dressed in the official Institute convocation gowns. Information regarding the collection of these gowns will be released through the Student Affairs Division.

  2. Security and Access: Given the high-profile nature of the Maiden Convocation, access to the School of Technology Auditorium will be strictly by invitation or valid student identification.

  3. Certification: Diplomas and Certificates will be ready for collection following the conclusion of the formal ceremony, provided all departmental and library clearances have been finalized.

CONCLUSION: A LEGACY OF TECHNICAL INNOVATION

KSTM’s Maiden Convocation is a celebration of the journey from foundational learning to professional certification. Under the leadership of Dr. Musa Ahmed Zayyad, the Institute continues to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial application.
