JIMOH BABALOLA UNIVERSITY, ILORIN (JBU) RELEASES POST UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Jimoh Babalola University (JBU) is a private owned institution licensed by the National Universities Commision (NUC). The University invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into the 2026/2027 academic session for the following programs.

FACULTY OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCE

• B.N.Sc. Nursing Science.
• B.Sc. Public Health
• Bachelor of Community Health Science (B.CHS).
• Bachelor of Environmental Health Science (B.EHS)

FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND COMPUTING

• B.Sc. Computer Science
• B.Sc. Cyber Security
• B.Sc. Software Engineering
• B.Sc. Information Technology

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION

Please note the application guidelines below:

(1) Candidates who chose Jimoh Babalola University (JBU) Ilorin, as their first choice of institution in the 2026/2027 JAMB CAPS portal and scored 150 or above are eligible to apply for the post UTME screening.

(ii) Candidates who did not choose the University but are willing to change to Jimoh Babalola University Ilorin can do so on the JAMB CAPS portal provided they also scored the required minimum UTME score or above.

(iii) Candidates are to apply to Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin at University’s portal link https://jbu.edung. Candidates are expected to pay an online application fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000) only excluding portal access charges.

(iv) Successful candidates will receive formal admission notification through the University’s admission portal and JAMB CAPS.

(v) To secure admission, candidates must accept the offer on JAMB CAPS when notified.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicant must possess credit passes in at least Five (5) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB

FOR DIRECT ENTRY

Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin is also inviting applications for Direct Entry (DE) admission from holders of ND, NCE, HND, IJMB, JUPEB, GCE A’Level results etc or equivalent qualifications.

Candidates are expected to apply online on the University website https://jbu.edung and pay an application fee of Twenty thousand naira (N20,000) only excluding portal access charges.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have a valid JAMB DE registration number.

• Minimum of five (5) O’level credits (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB etc.) in not more than two sittings along with ND, NCE, HND or acceptable equivalent Certificate/Statement of results.
• Applicants with IJMB, JUPEB, GCE A’Level Results etc.
• CHEW with valid Professional License can also apply.

Prospective students are advised to check the O’Level requirements and UTME subject combinations for their desired program. In accordance with national admissions policy, it is mandatory that applicants to the University must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to qualify for admission.
