JAMB ACTIVATES PORTAL FOR CONVERSION OF UTME TO DIRECT ENTRY (DE)

If you are a JUPEB or IJMB student who initially registered for UTME, but now want to switch to Direct Entry (DE), we have good news for you!

✅ JAMB has officially opened the portal for candidates who want to convert their UTME registration to Direct Entry. This means you can now change your application from UTME to DE without stress.

🔁 What is This About?

Many students who were waiting for their JUPEB or IJMB results earlier registered for UTME just to be on the safe side. Now that your JUPEB/IJMB result is out, you don’t need to waste your UTME slot. Instead, you can switch to Direct Entry, which gives you admission into 200 level in most Nigerian universities.

📝 Who Can Apply for UTME to DE Conversion?

You can apply if:

• You registered for 2025 UTME

• You now have your JUPEB, IJMB, or any other DE-acceptable qualification

• You wish to gain admission into 200 level via DE

🔧 What You Need To Do

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre near you.

2. Inform them that you want to convert your 2025 UTME to Direct Entry (DE).

3. Come along with the following documents:

   • Original JUPEB/IJMB result (or awaiting result slip)

   • O’Level result(s)

   • JAMB UTME registration slip

   • Your passport photograph (just in case)

4. Biometric (thumbprint) confirmation will be done to verify that it’s really you.

5. The CBT centre will complete the process and issue you a printout showing your new DE status.

⏳ Don’t Delay!

This conversion window won’t be open forever. JAMB may close the portal soon, so it’s important to act fast. Once closed, you won’t be able to convert again.

• It helps you avoid writing Post-UTME for 100 level, especially if your goal is to enter 200 level directly.
