GOMBE STATE UNIVERSITY, [GOMSU] RELEASES UTME ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
Gombe State University (GSU), Gombe, has officially released its admission guidelines and minimum cut-off marks for the 2026 admission exercise. The guidelines were approved during the 114th Regular Meeting of the University Senate held on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
According to the university management, all prospective candidates seeking admission into GSU for the 2026 academic session must meet the approved admission requirements and programme-specific cut-off marks.
Minimum Age Requirement for Admission
The University Senate has stated that candidates seeking admission into Gombe State University must be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026.
However, candidates who are below 16 years of age may only be considered under exceptional circumstances. Such candidates must:
- Score 320 and above in UTME
- Obtain special approval from the University
- Have an indemnity form signed by the Vice-Chancellor
General Minimum UTME Cut-Off Mark
The Senate approved 150 as the general minimum UTME score for admission into Gombe State University for the 2026 admission exercise.
This means candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME are eligible to apply for admission into programmes whose cut-off marks fall within that range.
Deadline for Admission Exercise
The university also noted that admissions into Nigerian public universities must be concluded on or before October 31, 2026.
Acceptance of Admission Offer
Candidates offered admission into Gombe State University are expected to accept their admission offer within four weeks of receiving it. Failure to do so may affect the admission process
