FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, IKOT ABASI (FUTIA) RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to invite all qualified 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking admissions into the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SCREENING:

ONLY candidates that scored a minimum of 160 in their 2026/2027 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and made FUTIA their First (1st) choice is eligible to apply. Also, candidates who made the University their 1st choice in the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry application are equally invited for the screening exercise.

N/B: Candidates who did not choose FUTIA as their first (1st) choice University but scored a minimum of 160 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB CAPS and change their first (1st) choice to FUTIA.

Candidates MUST have passed a minimum of 5 relevant subjects at credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent in not more than two (2) sittings including English and Mathematics.

Only candidates that are 16 years old and above by September 30, 2026 are eligible to apply.

Candidates must upload their O’level results on JAMB CAPS not later than August 31, 2026. To ensure that your O’level results are uploaded on CAPS, click “REFRESH” after entering your result.

REGISTRATION:

The registration for the 2026/2027 Screening Exercise will commence on Monday, June 22, 2026 on the University’s Portal.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Visit http://portal.futia.edu.ng and click on “Click here to apply”.

Go to “Apply Now” at the top menu bar and click “Undergraduate”.

Complete the basic information page (Please note: Enter only valid phone number and email address) and click next.

On the payment review page, click on “Make Payment” and this will take you to the payment page.

Confirm your payment details and click submit

Enter ATM card (Mastercard, Visa or Verve) number and other details as appropriate and submit.

Enter “OTP code” sent to your phone and click continue to complete your payment.

After a successful payment, click on “Main login” on the portal, enter your Jamb registration number and Surname as password.

Click on “Login” button and complete your registration.

Ensure you print completed registration form and payment receipt.

Note:

There would be a grace period of four (4) weeks within which all approved admissions must be accepted by candidates.

Candidates who do not register for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise would not be considered for admission.

Candidates with awaiting results may apply but must ensure that their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are uploaded appropriately at the JAMB Portal (CAPS) in a COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT) CENTRE approved by JAMB on or before August 31, 2026.

Candidates who upload inconsistent Bio-data will automatically be disqualified.

Kindly note that the FUTIA does not have individual/sales agents for admission. Anyone who deals with any individual and/or makes payment(s) to an individual’s account does so at his/her own risk.
