UNIVERSITY OF JOS (UNIJOS) RELEASES APPROVED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR UNDERGRADUATES FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Plateau State, has released its approved academic calendar for undergraduate students for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The academic calendar, approved by the University Senate on Friday, October 30, 2026, outlines the schedules for registration, lectures, matriculation, examinations, holidays, industrial attachment, teaching practice and other academic activities for the first and second semesters.

According to the calendar released by the Directorate of Academic Planning and Management, first-semester activities will commence on Monday, November 2, 2026, while second-semester lectures are scheduled to begin on Monday, April 19, 2027.

Approval of the Academic Calendar

The approved academic calendar was released by the Directorate of Academic Planning and Management and signed by Professor John D. Mawak, Director of the Directorate.

The University Senate approved the calendar on Friday, October 30, 2026.
