The National Youth Service Corps has embarked on measures that would enable safe and efficient conduct of its operations after lifting of COVID-19 restrictions on socio-economic activities in the country.

The NYSC said the 2020 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course was suspended one week into the exercise as a proactive measure to avert the spread of coronavirus to any of the orientation camps in Nigeria.

The Director-General of NYSC, Brig. General Shuaibu Ibrahim, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Adenike Adeyemi, stated this during a courtesy visit on him by the DG of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, in abuja

While explaining that other operations of the NYSC were scaled down in line with the Federal Government’s restriction order, he said the passing-out of the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream One corps members was held on a low-key with full adherence to the COVID-19 prevention protocols.

Ibrahim said, “Conscious of the possibility of the further or complete lifting of lockdown, the strategies mapped out by the NYSC management had taken care of various scenarios, and would be presented to the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 through the NCDC for guidance.”

Ihekweazu said the proposals presented by the NYSC DG would be studied and recommendations made to the appropriate authorities.

The NCDC DG, who commended the NYSC for its support for the fight against the COVID-19 through corps members’ activities, praised the contributions of the NYSC to the unity and development of the country.

Candidates should possess five O/Level credit passes in WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB at not more than two sittings from English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Economics, Geography, Financial Accounting and Business Studies.

Note that a bank transaction charge of =N=300:00 per transaction apply for all InterSwitch payments.

You will be redirected to interswitch gateway during registration to make payment for the Application Form. Prepare for making your payment online by having the following information handy:

LAUTECH JUPEB Admission Method of application:

1. Go to http://jupeb.lautech.edu.ng/ and Click on “here to apply” link at the top of this web page. You should ONLY do this after you MUST have read and understood all the instructions on this site. The Email Address supplied has to be unique and valid, and will serve as your Registration ID to make payment.
2. After successfully registering an account, you are to visit the Email address you supplied, to retrieve your PASSCODE. This PASSCODE will enable you access the payment system. This can be accessed through the “returning aplicant” link at the top of this page.
3. After registering an account, please note, you then fall into the category of “Returning Applicant”, and you should always use the “Returning Applicant Login” at the top of this web page.
4. As a “Returning Applicant”, you can make payment (by clicking on “Click here to Pay for your Application Form with a Created Email Address”. You are expected to supply the Email Address registered earlier and the PASSCODE sent to you); you can obtain a Application Form Number(this must be after a successful Application Form Payment); and you can also complete the application process.
5. After a successful payment, in order to get an Application Form Number, click on “Click here to get a Form Number”. You are expected to supply the Email Address registered earlier and the PASSCODE sent to you. Your Application Form Number will be e-mailed to the supplied email address, and also shown on the screen.
6. To complete the Application Form, you need to have gotten an Application Form number. You are to login with your Application Form number and the password earlier created. After you successfully fill the application form, and submit it, an Examination venue will be alloted to you. Please make sure you print this slip.
7. Please note, after submission of your Application Form, you will be unable to change the Passport Photograph uploaded. Hence confirm the passport uploaded is yours before you attempt to submit your form.

Closing Date:

The closing date for the submission of Application Form is Sunday, August 30, 2020. Each candidate must ensure that the Acknowledgement slip bearing his/her passport photograph is downloaded and printed as an evidence of successful submission of form.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR HND COURSES

-ND Certificate of Igbajo Polytechnic or other Government approved Polytechnic, with at least Lower Credit grade.
Evidence of one year Industrial Training
Candidates are advised to read carefully the admission requirements for their programme of study before completing the application form.

-Candidates are advised to ensure that they personally and not by proxy fill-in appropriate information and pay special attention to the arrangement of names, examination grades, examination number, examination year and the exact Industrial Training (I.T) date (12 months from the date of ND certification for those with Lower Credit and 24 months from the date of ND certification for those with Pass Grade.
Only courses duly accredited by the NBTE would be considered for the admission.

-Candidates are advised to keep safe their scratch card as any loss will necessitate purchase of another scratch card.
Applicants are advised to provide correct and functional E- Mail address while completing application form on-line.
Date of Qualifying Examination will be announced soon.
