Ayilara Lawal Olawale Emerges LASU Overall Best Graduating Student for 2024/2025 Academic Session with 4.96 CGPA

AYILARA LAWAL OLAWALE, a graduate of the Project Management Department, has emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student for the 2024/2025 academic session, after recording an outstanding CGPA of 4.96 and graduating with First Class Honours.

The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor as the institution presented the breakdown of graduating students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Ayilara Lawal Olawale, with Matriculation Number 200822019, achieved one of the highest academic performances recorded among the graduating students and was recognized as the overall best graduating student of the session.

His outstanding performance in the Project Management programme earned him the prestigious recognition and placed him at the forefront of the institution’s graduating class.

7,621 First Degree Students Graduate

A total of 7,621 students graduated from the First Degree programmes during the 2024/2025 academic session.

The breakdown of the graduating students shows that 262 students graduated with First Class Honours, while 106 students from the MBBS/BDS programmes were classified as having unclassified degrees.

The remaining graduates were distributed across the other degree classifications.

The institution also recorded 947 graduates from its Diploma programmes during the same academic session.

The Diploma graduates were classified as follows:

  • 65 students – Distinction
  • 521 students – Upper Credit
  • 354 students – Lower Credit
  • 7 students – Pass

The figures bring the total number of students who graduated across the Diploma and First Degree programmes to 8,568 for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Ayilara Lawal Olawale Records 4.96 CGPA
