LASU Announces Resumption Date for Academic Activities

Lagos State University (LASU) has reportedly announced the resumption of academic activities on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, following the suspension of the industrial action that disrupted activities across the institution.

The development comes after the suspension of the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Lagos State-owned universities, including LASU, LASUED and LASUSTECH.

The industrial action, which reportedly commenced on Friday, October 2, 2026, was linked to issues concerning staff welfare and the implementation of outstanding agreements.

LASU Students to Resume Academic Activities

With the reported resumption date set for Tuesday, October 13, students are advised to prepare to return to their academic activities and stay informed about arrangements made by the university.

Students should regularly check official LASU communication channels and contact their respective faculties or departments for specific information regarding lectures, registration, physical clearance and other academic requirements.
