KWARA STATE POLYTECHNIC, ILORIN (KWARAPOLY) RELEASES APPROVED ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, through the Office of the Registrar, has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The calendar outlines key academic activities across the first, second, and third semesters for all full-time (FT), part-time (PT), and Open Distance Flexible and e-Learning (ODFeL) students.

First Semester 2026/2027 Academic Session

* Resumption and Registration for New Students (FT/PT): 12th October, 2026.

* Commencement of Lectures for Returning and New Students (FT/PT, excluding SIWES): 19th October, 2026.

* First Continuous Assessment Test: 2nd November – 6th November, 2026.

* Second Continuous Assessment Test: 23rd November – 27th November, 2026.

* Resumption and Lectures for SIWES Students: 30th November, 2026.

* Christmas and New Year Break: 21st December, 2026 – 3rd January, 2027.

* Orientation for New Students (FT & PT): 11th January – 15th January, 2027.

* Matriculation Ceremony: 18th January, 2027.

* Lectures End for Returning & New Students (FT/PT): 22nd January, 2027.

* First Semester CBT/Written Examinations (FT/PT/ODFeL): 25th January – 20th February, 2027 (4 weeks).

* SIWES ND II Examinations: 8th February – 20th February, 2027.

* First Semester Break: 22nd February – 6th March, 2027.

* Deadline for Submission of Scores: 6th March, 2027.

Second Semester 2026/2027 Academic Session

* Resumption for All Students (FT/PT): 8th March, 2027.

* Commencement of Second Semester Lectures: 8th March, 2027.

* First Continuous Assessment Test: 29th March – 2nd April, 2027.

* Second Continuous Assessment Test: 26th April – 30th April, 2027.

* Lectures End for All Students: 5th June, 2027.

* SUG Week: 7th June – 11th June, 2027.

* Revision Week: 15th June – 19th June, 2027.

* Second Semester CBT/Written Examinations (FT/PT/ODFeL): 21st June – 17th July, 2027 (4 weeks).

* Commencement of SIWES: 19th July, 2027.

* Deadline for Submission of Scores: 21st August, 2027.

* Consideration of Sessional/Diploma Results: 26th August, 2027.

Third Semester 2026/2027 Academic Session (Part-Time)

* Resumption for Part-Time Students: 19th July, 2027.

* Commencement of Lectures: 19th July, 2027.

* Lectures End: 11th September, 2027.

* CBT/Written Examinations: 13th September – 25th September, 2027.

* Deadline for Submission of Scores: 6th October, 2027.

* Consideration of Sessional/Diploma Results: 11th October – 19th October, 2027.
