DENNIS OSADEBAY UNIVERSITY (DOU) POSTPONES RESUMPTION DATE FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of Dennis Osadebay University (DOU), situated in Asaba, Delta State, has officially announced a critical adjustment regarding the resumption schedule for the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session.
Following a comprehensive review of current administrative logistics and infrastructural developments across campus, the university administration has moved the official resumption date from its initial schedule.
The academic session, which was previously slated to commence on Monday, October 12, 2026, has now been formally postponed to Monday, October 19, 2026. This strategic adjustment has been implemented to address unforeseen circumstances that require urgent administrative attention, ensuring that all necessary facilities and preparations are fully optimized for a smooth transition.
Furthermore, these proactive measures are designed to significantly enhance the overall comfort, safety, and well-being of both returning students and fresh intakes as they settle into the academic environment.
The university leadership deeply regrets any inconvenience this unexpected adjustment may cause to travel plans, accommodation arrangements, or personal schedules of students and their parents.
In light of this, management earnestly solicits the understanding, patience, and cooperation of all members of the university community, including academic staff, non-teaching personnel, and students.
All concerned individuals are strongly advised to take official note of the new resumption date of Monday, October 19, 2026, and adjust their arrival plans accordingly to align with the revised institutional timeline.
