AKWA IBOM STATE COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES RELEASES ND NURSING ADMISSION FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of the Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences (AKSCONS), Ikot Ekpene, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its National Diploma (ND) Nursing Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply online through the College’s official admission portal.
Application Period
The online application portal opened on Tuesday, 1st September, 2026, and will remain open until Friday, 2nd October, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Score a minimum of 190 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Possess at least five (5) credit passes in WASSCE, NECO, or NABTEB, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Obtain the required O’Level credits in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates may combine WASSCE and NECO results where necessary, but NABTEB results cannot be combined with any other examination.
- Be at least 16 years old by September 2026.
- Have selected Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences as their first-choice institution during the 2026 JAMB registration.
Post-UTME Screening Exercise
The College has scheduled the 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Examination as follows:
- Date: Saturday, 10th October, 2026
- Venue: Aka Community Secondary School, Aka Offot, Uyo
- Time: 7:00 a.m.
Candidates are expected to arrive early at the examination venue and must present their coloured printed acknowledgement slip for identification before they will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise.
