MCPHERSON UNIVERSITY APPOINTS REV. DR. CHARLES OLAGOKE FASHOLA AS 4TH PRO-CHANCELLOR
McPherson University has appointed Rev. Dr. Charles Olagoke Fashola as its 4th substantive Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, effective August 1, 2026.
He succeeds Rev. Dr. Babatunde Idowu as Chairman of the University’s Governing Council.
Rev. Dr. Fashola is a distinguished engineer, business leader and pastor with over three decades of professional experience spanning engineering, strategic management, business leadership and pastoral ministry.
Professional And Academic Background
Rev. Dr. Fashola currently serves as the Managing Director of SEACOF Engineering Services Limited, where he provides strategic leadership and oversees the delivery of innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Swiss Business School, Zurich, as well as an MBA and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Ahmadu Bello University.
He also holds a Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Studies, reflecting his experience across both professional and pastoral fields.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Rev. Dr. Fashola serves as Pastor-in-Charge and District Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria.
Professional Recognition
The newly appointed Pro-Chancellor is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FNIEEE).
He is also an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (ANICA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria (FIARN).
His professional affiliations and leadership experience reflect a career built around engineering, administration, strategic management and organisational development.

As the new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Rev. Dr. Fashola is expected to bring his wealth of professional knowledge, strategic insight and leadership experience to the governance of McPherson University.
His appointment comes as the institution continues to pursue its academic and institutional development goals.
The University expressed confidence that his combination of engineering expertise, business leadership, administrative experience and pastoral leadership will contribute positively to the continued growth and development of the institution.
