Suitably qualified candidates are hereby invited to apply for admission into the institution’s various full-time professional and advanced technical programmes across several schools and departments.

GENERAL HND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking admission into any HND programme must satisfy the following requirements:

• Possess a National Diploma (ND) certificate from Auchi Polytechnic or any recognized institution accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
• Candidates must have been admitted into their ND programmes through JAMB.
• Applicants must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB obtained in not more than two sittings.
• Candidates must possess at least one year Industrial Training (IT) experience after ND. Candidates with Pass grade in ND require a minimum of two years industrial experience.
• Applicants must upload NBTE-certified Industrial Training completion certificates.
• Academic transcripts from institutions other than Auchi Polytechnic must be forwarded to the institution before processing admission.

The institution warned that candidates found deficient in any admission requirement after securing admission may have such admission withdrawn.

PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

Professional Diploma in Building Technology

Applicants must possess:

• Minimum of Lower Credit in HND Building Technology
• Evidence of NYSC completion or exemption
• Programme duration is 18 calendar months

Professional Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning

Candidates must possess:

• Minimum of Upper Credit in HND Urban and Regional Planning
  OR
• Lower Credit plus two years cognate experience
  OR
• Pass grade plus three years cognate experience
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

SPECIAL O’LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

The Polytechnic also outlined additional subject requirements for specific departments:

• Literature in English is compulsory for Mass Communication.
• Economics is compulsory for Accountancy.
• Economics or Commerce is compulsory for Business Administration.
• Economics or Geography is compulsory for Estate Management and Urban & Regional Planning.
• Physics is compulsory for Computer Science, Quantity Surveying, and Surveying & Geo-Informatics.
• Pure Science subject is compulsory for Ceramics Technology.
• Food Technology requires credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application and screening fee of Thirty-Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (₦32,500.00) only through the Remita platform.

4. Complete the application request form
5. Generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
6. Make payment through approved Remita channels
7. Return to the portal and continue application
8. Upload passport photograph and required credentials
9. Print acknowledgement slip and application summary
