2026 JAMB POLICY MEETING: JAMB Unveils Top Scorers as Candidates Shine Nationwide

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of top-performing candidates in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) during the ongoing Policy Meeting and Tertiary Education Awards held in Abuja.

 

According to the ranking presented, several candidates scored above 360, showcasing exceptional academic performance across the country.

 

Topping the chart is Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin from Ekiti State, who scored an outstanding 372 and chose the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to study Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).

 

Closely following are other high-performing candidates including:

 

Enwere Kingsley Ikenna — 370

 

Bamlsile Ayomide Emmanuel — 369

 

Multiple candidates also recorded impressive scores of 368 and 367.

 

The list also revealed the preferred institutions and courses of these top scorers, with programmes such as Medicine, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, and Electrical/Electronics Engineering dominating the choices.

 

Universities frequently selected by the top candidates include UNILAG, FUTA, OAU, UI, UNIBEN, UNIPORT, Covenant University, and Pan-Atlantic University.

 

The release of the ranking highlights the increasing level of competitiveness among UTME candidates and reflects the strong academic performances recorded in the 2026 examination exercise.
