UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS [UNILAG] ISSUES IMPORTANT NOTICE TO POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS ON QUALIFYING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the schedule for the Qualifying Examination into the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the management, the qualifying examination is expected to hold in the middle of October 2025, with the exact date and further details to be communicated in due course.

The examination will be conducted online and will consist of 60 questions to be answered within 30 minutes. All applicants are expected to prepare adequately as the test will cover the following areas:

1️⃣ Critical Thinking Skills

2️⃣ Emotional Intelligence

3️⃣ Logical Reasoning

4️⃣ Verbal Reasoning

5️⃣ Communication Skills and Digital Competence

6️⃣ Research Aptitude

7️⃣ Problem Solving and Creativity

The university advised all candidates to stay updated and ensure proper preparation, as performance in the qualifying exam is a major requirement for admission into the postgraduate programmes.

💡 Tip for Candidates: Since the exam focuses on reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving rather than just academic knowledge, applicants are encouraged to practice with logical and critical thinking questions, improve their communication skills, and get familiar with online testing platforms.

We wish all candidates success in their preparations and the upcoming examination. 🎓✨
