UNIVERSITY OF UYO (UNIUYO) RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Postgraduate School of the University of University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has officially commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its various postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

In a statement signed by the university Registrar, Mrs. Blossom E. Okorie, the institution invites qualified candidates looking to advance their careers, expand their knowledge, and become leaders in their fields to apply.

Available Programmes and Faculties

The university is offering admissions across 17 faculties including Agriculture, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Communication & Media Studies, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Law, Management Sciences, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computing, and Vocational Education, Library & Information Sciences, among others.

Prospects can apply for the following levels:

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Master’s Degrees (MSc, MA, MEd, MEng, MLIS, MPharm)

M.Phil/Ph.D (Integrated)

Doctoral Degrees (Ph.D)

Estimated Duration of Study

PGD: 2–4 Semesters (Engineering: 4–6 Semesters)

Master’s: 4–6 Semesters

Ph.D: 6–10 Semesters

M.Phil/Ph.D: Minimum of 2 Semesters before transition

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants seeking admission must satisfy the following criteria:

O’ Level Credits: A minimum of 5 O’ Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.

Degree Requirement: A minimum of a Third Class Degree in any discipline from the University of Uyo or any other university recognized by the Senate for PGDs.

HND Candidates: Higher National Diploma not below a lower credit from any discipline recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo.

National Service: NYSC Certificate (Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion).

Research & Specifics: Department-specific requirements alongside a research proposal for PGD, Master, and Ph.D applicants.

Documentation: Academic transcripts and three (3) reference letters.

Method of Application

Interested candidates are required to complete their application process online by following these steps:

Visit the e-portal via: www.uniuyo.edu.ng.eportals

Follow the instructions and pay a non-refundable application fee of Twenty Thousand Naira Only (N20,000.00).

Print out the payment receipt.

Return to the online portal and click on the Registration Link to obtain login credentials.

Upload all relevant credentials, transcripts, and research proposals strictly in PDF format.

Important Note: The management emphasizes that there will be no hard copy submission of any relevant documents.
