UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI TEACHING HOSPITAL (UMTH) RELEASES ADMISSION FORM INTO HIGHER DIPLOMA IN COMMUNITY HEALTH FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

​The College of Community Health, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Higher Diploma in Community Health for the 2026/2027 academic session.

​General Requirements

​All applicants for both the two (2) year and one (1) year programs must possess:

​Diploma in Community Health (CHEW) with a valid license.

​A minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings.

​Required subjects: English, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, Physics, and Chemistry.

​Additional Requirements for the One (1) Year Program:

Candidates must possess any of the following:

​B.Sc. in Community Health

​B.Sc. in Public Health

​B.Sc. in Health Education

​Method of Application and Important Dates

​Fees: N10,000 for the one-year program; N5,000 for the two-year program (Payable at UMTH billing office).

HOW TO APPLY

Payment for the application must be made physically at the institution:

​Payment Location: Visit the UMTH Billing Office to make your payment.

​Fee for One-Year Program: N10,000.

​Fee for Two-Year Program: N5,000.

​Step 3: Obtain and Complete the Application Form

​Once payment is confirmed, follow these steps to secure your form:

​Collection: Obtain your application form directly from the College of Community Health, UMTH.

​Timeline: The application window is open from 4th May 2026 to 30th June 2026.

​Submission: All completed forms must be returned to the College on or before 14th July 2026.

​Application Period: 4th May 2026 to 30th June 2026.

​Submission Deadline: All forms must be returned on or before 14th July 2026.

​Entrance Exam & Interview: 20th July 2026 to 24th July 2026.
