The Management of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, has officially announced the commencement of the First Semester examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session. In an internal memorandum released by the Office of the Registrar on February 13, 2026, the university confirmed that the examination period is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 16, 2026.

This announcement follows the conclusion of the mandatory lecture weeks and revision period, signaling the peak of academic activity for the first half of the session. The directive, signed by Ayobamidele P. Akindehinde, Principal Assistant Registrar, on behalf of the Registrar, emphasizes the institution’s commitment to maintaining a strict academic calendar and ensuring the integrity of the assessment process.

Administrative Directives and Staff Readiness

To ensure a hitch-free examination season, the university management has issued specific operational instructions to all relevant academic and non-academic staff.

  • Prompt Attendance: All invigilators, supervisors, and departmental staff involved in examination administration have been directed to report to their assigned venues well ahead of the scheduled start times.

  • Coordination: The Office of the Registrar, in collaboration with the various Faculty Deans, has finalized the logistics for question paper distribution, answer booklet security, and attendance monitoring.

  • Integrity Measures: Staff are reminded to strictly enforce the university’s examination regulations to prevent any form of academic malpractice.

Essential Guidelines for Students

As the examinations begin, students of OAUSTECH are expected to be fully prepared and compliant with the following institutional protocols:

  1. Timetable Verification: Students are strongly advised to consult the final, approved examination timetable posted across various departmental notice boards and the university’s official digital portals. It is crucial to verify the exact time and venue for each course, as changes may have occurred during the final draft phase.

  2. Examination Clearance: Only students who have completed their registration and met the minimum attendance requirements are eligible to sit for the papers. Students must carry their validated Course Registration Forms and University Identity Cards to every examination session.

  3. Conduct and Discipline: The university maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward examination malpractice. Prohibited items—including mobile phones, programmable calculators (unless specified), and unauthorized notes—must not be brought into the examination halls.

Logistics and Venue Management

Given the science and technology focus of the institution, many examinations may involve Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for general courses or practical assessments for laboratory-based disciplines. Students should arrive at the designated venues at least 30 minutes before the commencement of each paper to allow for biometric verification or manual search procedures.

The Management of OAUSTECH wishes all students a successful examination period. Any student facing technical challenges related to their registration or portal access should visit the ICT Center or their Faculty Officer immediately for resolution, as no student will be allowed into the hall without proper documentation.
