LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU) REOPENS ADMISSION SCREENING PORTAL FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Lagos State University has approved a two-week extension of the 2026/2027 Online Admission Screening Exercise for 100 Level UTME and 200 Level Direct Entry candidates.
The extension, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, took effect from Tuesday, 30 June 2026, and the admission screening portal will now remain open until Tuesday, 14 July 2026 (12:00 midnight).
This extension gives candidates additional time to:
- Complete their online screening registration.
- Upload or update their O’Level results.
- Correct previously submitted information where necessary.
- Change their course of study (subject to payment of the applicable correction fee).
Who Is Eligible?
The screening exercise is open to:
- Candidates who selected LASU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored at least 195.
- Candidates who will be 16 years old or above by 1 October 2026.
- Successful LASU Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) candidates who chose LASU as their first choice and scored a minimum of 195 in UTME.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates who obtained the JAMB Direct Entry form and selected LASU as their first-choice institution.
- Candidates of Lagos State origin whose indigeneship has been verified by the University’s Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC).

- Arts
- Communication and Media Studies
- Education
- Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Law
- Management Sciences
- Science
- Social Sciences
- College of Medicine
- Computing and Information Technology
- School of Agriculture
- School of Library, Archival and Information Science
- School of Transport and Logistics
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Candidates must possess the required O’Level credits relevant to their chosen course.
- Medicine and Dentistry require results from one sitting only.
- Engineering applicants using two sittings must meet the University’s specified subject requirements.
- Credit in English Language is compulsory for admission into every course.
- Candidates must upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before the screening portal closes.
- Any examination taken after July 2026 will not be accepted.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates should:
1. Visit the LASU admission screening portal.
2. Log in with their UTME Registration Number and Surname.
3. Pay the prescribed screening fee.
4. Complete the online self-screening form.
5. Upload the required O’Level details.
6. Review and certify all submitted information.
7. Submit the application and download the screening report.
Direct Entry Candidates
All Direct Entry applicants, including LASU JUPEB candidates, are required to submit copies of their online screening report and qualifying credentials at the Admission Annex/Liaison Office (Room 7, Administrative Block II).
Final Reminder
Only candidates who selected LASU as their first-choice institution are eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
Candidates are strongly advised to complete their registration and upload all required documents before the new deadline of Tuesday, 14 July 2026 (12:00 midnight) to avoid missing the admission opportunity.
