The Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL) wishes to formally inform all students, with special emphasis on freshers, that the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 31st March, 2026. The event represents a key milestone in the academic journey of all newly admitted students and serves as the official induction into the University community.

Registration and Fee Compliance

In preparation for the ceremony, students are reminded that completion of central registration and payment of all relevant fees is mandatory. Specifically:

  • Fresh students who have not completed their central registration are required to do so immediately.

  • Returning students who have not yet paid their school fees for the 2025/2026 session are strongly advised to ensure full payment between now and the date of the ceremony, 31st March, 2026.

Failure to complete registration or fee payment by the stated deadline will result in forfeiture of studentship in the University. This directive ensures that all students are fully compliant with University regulations and are eligible to participate in the matriculation ceremony and academic activities.

Guidance for Parents and Guardians

The Management wishes to inform parents and guardians that the University has provided ample time for their wards to fulfill all registration and payment requirements. Parents and guardians are encouraged to remind and support their children in meeting these obligations to avoid any embarrassment or disruption to their academic journey.

Information for Fresh Students

Fresh students who have completed their registration and paid the necessary fees are advised to:

  • Contact their respective Course Representatives for guidance and further instructions regarding the ceremony.

  • Alternatively, visit the Academic Office for more detailed information on the procedure for matriculation.

This proactive step will help ensure that all participating students are fully prepared for the event and understand the protocols and expectations associated with matriculation.

Event Highlights

The Matriculation Ceremony will formally welcome new students into the University, highlighting the values, traditions, and academic standards of IBBUL. It is a symbolic moment that emphasizes commitment to scholarship, discipline, and the University’s guiding principles.

Students are encouraged to view the ceremony not only as a formal requirement but also as an opportunity to embrace University life, interact with peers and faculty, and begin their academic journey with a strong sense of purpose and belonging.

Management’s Well Wishes

The University Management extends its best wishes to all students for a successful matriculation ceremony. Students are encouraged to participate fully, conduct themselves with decorum, and approach the event with pride and respect for the traditions of IBBUL.

Furthermore, Management wishes all students the best of luck in their forthcoming examinations and academic endeavors, emphasizing that full compliance with registration and fee requirements is essential for uninterrupted participation in University activities.

Important Notices:

  • All students must ensure that their registration and fees are fully completed before the ceremony.

  • Fresh students should confirm participation through their Course Representatives or the Academic Office.

  • Parents and guardians are urged to support students in completing all necessary requirements.

  • The University reserves the right to enforce these regulations strictly to maintain order and integrity within the academic community.

The Management thanks all students, parents, and guardians for their cooperation and looks forward to a memorable and successful matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.
