FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, WUKARI (FUWUKARI) ISSUES IMPORTANT NOTICE TO STUDENTS ON MANDATORY USE OF STUDENTS’ ID CARD

This is to officially inform all students of the University that, effective immediately, a valid University Student Identity Card (ID Card) will be strictly required at the main gates and all entry points before any student can be granted access to the campus premises. This directive forms part of ongoing measures to streamline campus access, reinforce safety protocols, and ensure that only authorized individuals are admitted into the university community.

​In light of this development, all returning and newly admitted students must have their physical, university-issued identification cards readily available for inspection by security personnel upon arrival at the gate.

​Alternative Verification Methods for Outstanding ID Cards

​Management understands that a segment of the student population may currently be without a physical ID card due to processing delays or other administrative reasons. To prevent any disruption to your academic activities and ensure that no student is unfairly locked out, alternative verification measures have been put in place.

​Students who have not yet obtained or received their official Student Identity Card are required to adopt one of the following verification options to gain access to the campus:

​Physical Documentation: You should come along with a clear, legible photocopy of your official University Admission Letter to present to the security officers.

​Digital Verification: Alternatively, you must be fully prepared to log in to your personal student portal via your mobile device or smartphone at the gate. This will allow you to directly verify your authentic studentship and active registration status to the security personnel on duty.

​Please note that failure to provide either a valid ID card or one of these approved alternative proofs of studentship will result in a denial of entry at the university gates.

​Compliance and Cooperation

​All students, without exception, are strongly advised to comply with this new directive and ensure they have their credentials ready before reaching the screening points. Preparing your ID card or digital login in advance will help prevent unnecessary delays, reduce bottlenecks at the entrance, and ensure a smooth, orderly, and timely entry into the University for everyone.
