FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE (FUTA) EXTENDS POST-UTME APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced an extension of the registration period for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Registrar, the extension applies to all prospective candidates who selected FUTA as their First Choice Institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The university stated that the decision was made to provide eligible candidates who are yet to complete their registration with additional time to participate in the admission screening exercise.

NEW REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Candidates are hereby informed that the online registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise has been extended until Friday, 31st July, 2026.

All qualified applicants are advised to take advantage of this extension and complete their registration before the new deadline, as no further extension may be granted.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The screening exercise is open to:

  • Candidates who chose the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) as their First Choice Institution in the 2026 UTME.
  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking admission into FUTA for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
  • Candidates applying for admission into all undergraduate courses and programmes offered by the university.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CANDIDATES

Applicants are advised to:

  • Complete their online registration before Friday, 31st July, 2026.
  • Ensure all personal information and academic records provided during registration are accurate.
  • Upload all required credentials and supporting documents where applicable.
  • Regularly check the university’s admission portal for updates regarding the screening exercise and admission process.

Failure to complete the registration before the deadline may affect a candidate’s eligibility for admission consideration.
