FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, EFFURUN (FUPRE) RELEASES PRE-DEGREE/JUPEB ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) is the first petroleum university in Africa and sixth in the world. The Institution is located at Ugbomro, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. We offer highly sought-after courses that adequately equip graduates to provide services to the Oil & gas and allied sectors.

We invite applications from qualified candidates for admission into the FUPRE School of Sub-degree Programmes. We offer pre-degree (basic) and foundation (JUPEB) programmes.

PRE-DEGREE/BASIC PROGRAMME

The basic Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2025 to August 2026. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission through JAMB into the 100-level degree programmes offered by the University.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Passes in relevant subjects, to include English Language. Awaiting result is also considered.

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira only (N25,000.00).

(d) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, a request for refund of school fees will NOT be entertained.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

ONLINE PAYMENT

Applicants are required to make payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only, via the sub-degree portal at the University Application Portal

FOUNDATION/JUPEB PROGRAMME

The Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2025 to August 2026. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission into the 200-level degree programme offered by the University, other JUPEB affiliated Universities, and International Universities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Passes in relevant subjects, to include English Language. Awaiting result is NOT allowed

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Fifty Thousand Naira only (N50,000.00).

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO 200 LEVEL:

The course allocated will be determined by the level of performance.

Students will sit for the JUPEB Examination at the end of the course and will be able to transition into 200 Level at any of the JUPEB Affiliated Universities both in Nigeria and abroad.

(a) Successful candidates who will be enrolled in the degree programmes at the 200 level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB form.

(b) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for a refund of the school fee will NOT be entertained.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

ONLINE PAYMENT

Applicants are required to make the payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only, via the sub-degree portal at the University Application Portal

CLOSING DATE

The closing date for the application form is 12:00 am Sunday, 31st August 2025.

DATE FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

An entrance examination for admission into the Programme will be held on Thursday, 4th September 2025, by 9:00 am at the FUPRE ICT building.

COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURE:

Lectures start on Monday, 22nd September 2025.
