The Federal University of Environment and Technology (FUET), Saakpenwa, Tai–Rivers State, has officially unveiled its detailed academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The newly released schedule charts out all essential academic and administrative activities for both semesters—giving students, staff, and parents a clear roadmap of what to expect throughout the school year.

The academic calendar is structured to promote effective learning, proper planning, academic discipline, and a smooth flow of activities from the beginning of the session to the end. Below is a comprehensive look at everything included in the FUET 2025/2026 academic timetable.


𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 (2025/2026 SESSION)

1. Student Admission & Resumption

The new academic session kicks off as early as November 2025, when student admission processes officially begin.
However, physical resumption and arrival of students—including pre-registration and orientation—will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

This period marks the beginning of all onboarding activities for freshers, including verification, bio-data registration, and settling into the academic environment.


2. Lecture Period

Lectures for the first semester are scheduled to commence on:

📅 Ending Friday, April 17, 2026

A total of 11 solid weeks of teaching are allotted. During this time, students are expected to engage fully in their coursework, attend classes consistently, and prepare early for assessments.


3. Major First-Semester Events

• Founders’ Day/Week & Matriculation

FUET will celebrate its Founders’ Week from:
📅 Monday, February 2 – Friday, February 6, 2026

The week includes major institutional events, including matriculation, where newly admitted students will take their oath and officially become FUET students. It is one of the most important ceremonies of the academic year.


• Eid al-Fitr Break

📅 Friday, March 20, 2026
A one-day public holiday will be observed in line with national celebrations.


• Easter Break

📅 Friday, March 27 – Monday, April 6, 2026
Students will go on a short break during the Easter season. Lectures resume immediately after.


• Continuous Assessment (CA) Submission

📅 Friday, April 17, 2026
All departments are expected to submit their CA scores on this date. Students must ensure they have completed all tests and assignments before this deadline.


4. Revision Week

📅 Monday, April 20 – Friday, April 25, 2026
A full week dedicated to revision, final preparations, consultations, and study.


5. First-Semester Examinations

📅 Tuesday, April 27 – Friday, May 15, 2026
Examinations will run for three weeks, covering all levels and departments. Students are encouraged to take the revision period seriously to ensure excellent performance.


6. Senate Meeting for Results Consideration

📅 Wednesday, June 10, 2026
An extraordinary Senate meeting will take place to review and approve all first-semester results. Once approved, results will be released officially to students.

1. Resumption for Second Semester

Students return to campus to begin the second half of the session.


2. Lecture Period

📅 Monday, June 15 – Friday, August 28, 2026

Just like first semester, the teaching period lasts 11 weeks, covering lectures, classwork, and continuous assessments.


3. Important Second-Semester Events

• Eid al-Maulud Break

📅 Tuesday, August 25, 2026
Students will observe a public holiday in celebration of the Eid al-Maulud festival.


• Continuous Assessment Submission

📅 Friday, August 28, 2026
All CA assessments must be finalized and submitted by this date.


• Students’ Week

📅 Wednesday, August 27 – Friday, August 29, 2026
This week is dedicated to student-focused activities, cultural showcases, sports, personal development events, and other social engagements. It serves as a refreshing break from academic rigor.


4. Revision Week

📅 Monday, August 31 – Friday, September 4, 2026
Students will have the opportunity to prepare thoroughly for exams, revise coursework, and receive clarifications from lecturers.


5. Second-Semester Examinations

📅 Monday, September 7 – Friday, September 25, 2026
Another three-week examination window. This period marks the final academic evaluation for the session.


6. Senate Meeting for Second-Semester Results

📅 Wednesday, November 11, 2026
An extraordinary Senate meeting will be held to review and approve the final results for the 2025/2026 session. Once approved, the school can release results and prepare for the next session.
