The University Management has formally released the schedule for the induction of the newly admitted undergraduate cohort for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. This two-day series of events is designed to integrate fresh students into the university’s academic culture and officially finalize their status as bona fide members of the institution.

According to a notification issued by the Committee Secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim, on behalf of the Committee Chairman, all newly admitted students are required to participate in both the orientation and the matriculation exercises to ensure a seamless transition into campus life.

DETAILED SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND VENUES

The induction proceedings are divided into two distinct phases, focusing on administrative guidance and formal ceremonial induction respectively.

1. Orientation Programme

  • Purpose: To provide fresh students with essential information regarding university regulations, academic requirements, security protocols, and student support services.

  • Date: Tuesday, 14th April, 2026

  • Time: 10:00 AM Prompt

  • Venue: Dr. A. A. Ladan Hall

2. Matriculation Ceremony

  • Purpose: The formal oath-taking and induction ceremony where students are officially admitted into the university’s academic fold.

  • Date: Wednesday, 15th April, 2026

  • Time: 10:00 AM Prompt

  • Venue: Dr. M. I. Maccido Hall

DIRECTIVES TO FACULTY AND DEPARTMENTS

To ensure maximum attendance and the overall success of these events, the Management has issued the following mandatory directives to all academic and administrative heads:

  • Suspension of Lectures: Heads of Departments (HODs) are strictly notified that no lectures or academic activities are to hold throughout these two days (April 14th and 15th). This is to allow all staff and students to focus entirely on the induction process.

  • Student Mobilization: HODs are expected to actively mobilize all fresh students within their departments to ensure full attendance at both the orientation and the ceremony.

  • Administrative Guidance: Faculty Officers are required to be present at the venues to provide guidance to matriculating students, manage the academic procession, and ensure the highest standards of conduct are maintained.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MATRICULATING STUDENTS

  • Punctuality: Students are advised to arrive at the designated halls at least 30 minutes before the commencement of each event to facilitate orderly seating.

  • Academic Regalia: Students should liaise with their respective Faculty Officers regarding the collection and return of matriculation gowns. Ensure you have your payment receipts ready for verification.

  • The Matriculation Oath: Participation in the matriculation ceremony is compulsory. Only students who take the official oath and sign the Matriculation Register will be legally recognized as students of the university.

CONCLUSION: A FOUNDATION FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS

The Orientation and Matriculation events represent the official beginning of your journey at this university. We encourage all new students to take these programmes seriously, as they provide the foundational knowledge and legal status necessary for a successful and productive stay on campus.

Signed: Muhammad Ibrahim Committee Secretary For: Committee Chairman
