FEDERAL UNIVERSITY GUSAU RELEASES FIRST BATCH ADMISSION LIST, REGISTRATION COMMENCES FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has released the First Batch Admission List for candidates who applied for admission into the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Candidates whose names appear on the admission list have been offered provisional admission into the various programmes indicated against their names.

Candidates are advised to carefully check the list and confirm their names and offered programmes.

FUGUS REGISTRATION COMMENCES

Registration for admitted candidates commenced on Monday, September 14, 2026.

All candidates offered provisional admission are expected to proceed with the registration process and provide the required documents for verification.

FUGUS ADMISSION REGISTRATION STAGES

The registration exercise will involve the following stages:

1. Checking of admission status and issuance of files.
2. Verification of acceptance fee Remita by the Bursary representative.
3. Verification of credentials.
4. Confirmation of candidate.
5. Printing of admission letter.
6. Signing of admission letter by the Academic Secretary.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FRESH STUDENTS’ REGISTRATION

Freshly admitted students are required to present the following documents:

1. JAMB Admission Letter – for institution use only.
2. JAMB Result Slip.
3. Evidence of payment of acceptance fee, including the Remita receipt.
4. Original and photocopies of credentials, including SSCE certificates such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS.
5. SSCE Testimonial.
6. Primary School Certificate and Testimonial.
7. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
8. Certificate of Indigene.
9. Four copies of passport-sized photographs.
10. Letter of Undertaking.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE DURING REGISTRATION

The registration committee has been directed to ensure proper verification and harmonisation of candidates’ details.

The following areas will be given attention:

• Candidate’s name: Names on the various credentials should be harmonised.
• Date of birth: Candidates’ dates of birth will also be verified and harmonised where necessary.
• Character and dress code: Students are expected to comply with the university’s required standards of character and dressing.

FINAL NOTICE TO ADMITTED CANDIDATES

Candidates who have been offered provisional admission into Federal University Gusau for the 2026/2027 academic session are advised to commence their registration promptly and ensure that all required documents are available.

Admitted candidates should also pay close attention to the registration requirements and follow the instructions provided by the university throughout the process.
