FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, DUTSE (FUDUTSE) RELEASES DEPARTMENTAL CUTOFF MARK FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Prospective candidates seeking admission into the Federal University Dutse (FUD) for the 2026/2027 academic session can now check the official departmental cut-off marks approved for various undergraduate programmes.

The university has outlined the minimum UTME scores required for admission into its different faculties and departments. Candidates who selected FUD as their institution of choice are advised to carefully review the requirements for their preferred courses before proceeding with the admission process.

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE

The Faculty of Agriculture offers programmes with a minimum cut-off mark of 150.

  • Agricultural Science – 150
  • Fisheries and Aquaculture – 150
  • Forestry and Wildlife Management – 150
  • Food Science and Technology – 150

FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

Candidates interested in Arts and Social Sciences programmes must meet the following minimum scores:

  • Arabic – 150
  • Criminology and Security Studies – 160
  • Economics – 150
  • English Language – 150
  • Library and Information Science – 150
  • Linguistics (Arabic) – 150
  • Linguistics (English) – 150
  • Political Science – 160

FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES

Programmes under this faculty have higher admission requirements due to their competitive nature.

  • Environmental Health Sciences – 170
  • Human Anatomy – 160
  • Human Physiology – 160
  • Nursing Science – 210
  • Public Health – 190

FACULTY OF CLINICAL SCIENCES

The MBBS programme remains one of the most competitive courses in the university.

  • Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) – 240

FACULTY OF COMPUTING

Candidates applying for computing-related programmes must score at least 180.

  • Computer Science – 180
  • Cyber Security – 180
  • Information Technology – 180
  • Software Engineering – 180

FACULTY OF EDUCATION

The following programmes are available with a minimum score of 150.

  • Islamic Studies Education – 150
  • Primary Education – 150

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

Admission requirements for Management Sciences programmes are as follows:

  • Accounting – 160
  • Actuarial Science – 150
  • Banking and Finance – 150
  • Business Administration – 170
  • Insurance – 150
  • Taxation – 150

FACULTY OF LIFE SCIENCES

Candidates seeking admission into Life Sciences programmes must meet the following scores:

  • Biochemistry – 180
  • Biology – 160
  • Biotechnology – 180
  • Botany – 150
  • Microbiology – 180
  • Zoology – 150

FACULTY OF PHYSICAL SCIENCES

All programmes under this faculty currently require a minimum score of 150.

  • Chemistry – 150
  • Environmental Management and Toxicology – 150
  • Industrial Chemistry – 150
  • Industrial Mathematics – 150
  • Mathematics – 150
  • Physics – 150

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa, FCIA, disclosed that the university is currently processing approval for additional academic programmes. These programmes are awaiting final clearance and inclusion on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Once approval is completed, detailed admission requirements and application procedures will be published through the official Federal University Dutse website and the university’s verified social media platforms.

Prospective candidates are advised to regularly monitor official university channels for updates regarding admissions and newly approved programmes.

Applicants who meet the stated cut-off marks are encouraged to prepare adequately for the next stages of the admission process and ensure that all required documents are uploaded as stipulated by the university.
