The Provost, Dr. Richard Ugbaha Utubaku, on behalf of the 8th Governing Council, Management, and Academic Board, cordially invites the general public, staff, students, and the entire college community to a historic triple-event ceremony. This occasion marks a significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and professional teacher development.

I. EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

The ceremony will feature three distinct academic and professional milestones:

    • 1st Dual Mandate Degree Matriculation: The formal induction of the pioneer cohort for the newly established degree programmes.

    • 43rd NCE Matriculation: The official induction of the latest NCE students into the teaching profession.

    • TRCN Induction: The professional oath-taking for qualified educators under the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

II. CEREMONY DETAILS

To ensure a well-coordinated event, guests and participants are advised to take note of the following logistics:

    • Date: Friday, 24th April 2026

    • Time: 10:00 AM Prompt

    • Venue: Senator Greg Ngaji Lecture Theatre, Federal College of Education (FCE) Obudu, Cross River State.

III. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

To maintain the solemnity and order of the proceedings, the following protocols must be observed:

    • Punctuality: All matriculating students and TRCN inductees must be fully dressed in their official academic gowns and seated by 9:30 AM.

    • Gown Collection: All participants should ensure they have completed the necessary financial clearances for the collection of gowns from their respective departments or the College Store prior to the ceremony date.

    • Professional Conduct: TRCN inductees are reminded that this exercise marks their legal entry into the teaching profession; proper professional decorum is expected during the administration of the oath.

IV. INFORMATION FOR GUESTS

Parents, guardians, and well-wishers are warmly welcomed to witness this momentous day. Designated seating areas will be provided for visitors, and we request that all guests follow the directions of the College security and protocol team to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

CONCLUSION: SHAPING THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION

The Federal College of Education, Obudu, continues to lead in the training of competent and professional educators. We look forward to celebrating the academic transition of our degree and NCE students, alongside the professional certification of our teachers.

Please be guided accordingly.
