ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (ESUT) ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL RESUMPTION DATE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), through the Office of the Registrar, has released an internal memorandum announcing the official resumption of academic activities for both fresh and continuing students for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the official circular (Ref: ESUT/R/59) signed by the Registrar, Ambrose G. Ugwu, and dated 7th October 2026, academic activities across all faculties and departments will officially commence on Monday, 12th October 2026.
The university administration has explicitly directed all lecturers and students to resume full academic duties immediately upon the official resumption date. Faculty members are instructed to begin lectures and administer Continuous Assessment (CA) exercises without delay, emphasizing that these assessments form a vital component of the first semester examination results. Academic staff are further urged to initiate thorough preparations for effective teaching, practicals, and related academic duties.
Regarding the clearance and registration procedures for newly admitted first-year students, the Registrar noted that specific details and step-by-step guidelines will be conveyed to the public in due course.
To ensure seamless implementation and compliance, all Deans of Faculties, Directors of Academic Units, and Heads of Departments (HODs) have been mandated to enforce full compliance with the resumption directive across their respective faculties and departments.
With academic activities set to resume fully on 12th October 2026, both returning and fresh students are advised to return to campus promptly and complete all required academic preparations.
