EDO STATE UNIVERSITY,IYAMHO (ESUI) RELEASES ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The Management of Edo State University, Iyamho (ESUI) has released the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The calendar contains the scheduled academic activities for both newly admitted and returning students, including resumption, registration, lectures, orientation, examinations, matriculation, convocation and semester breaks.
The first semester will run for 16 weeks, while the second semester will run for 15 weeks.
ESUI 2026/2027 FIRST SEMESTER ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The following are the scheduled activities for the first semester:

| 17 December 2026 | Late course registration for all students |
| 17 December 2026 | Students embark on Christmas and New Year break |
| 9 January 2027 | All students return into Halls of Residence |
| 11 January 2027 | First semester lectures continue for all students |
| 15–19 February 2027 | Revision period/Continuous Assessment |
| 18 February 2027 | Matriculation for newly admitted students |
| 19 February 2027 | End of first semester lectures |

ESUI 2026/2027 SECOND SEMESTER ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The second semester will run for 15 weeks, with lectures, student activities, examinations and the long vacation scheduled as follows:

| 17–20 August 2027 | Departments and Faculties consider sessional results |
| 30 August–3 September 2027 | Senate consideration and approval of sessional results |
| 4 October 2027 | Commencement of the 2027/2028 academic session |
IMPORTANT DATES FOR ESUI STUDENTS
Newly admitted students are expected to resume in the Halls of Residence on October 17, 2026, with screening and registration scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.
Returning students are expected to arrive on October 31, 2026, while first semester lectures for returning students will commence on November 9, 2026.
The first semester lectures are scheduled to end on February 19, 2027, followed by examinations from February into March.
For the second semester, students will return to the Halls of Residence on April 3, 2027, with lectures commencing on April 5, 2027.
The 2026/2027 academic session is scheduled to officially end with the long vacation beginning on July 25, 2027.
NEW ACADEMIC SESSION TO BEGIN OCTOBER 2027
Following the consideration and approval of the 2026/2027 sessional results by the Senate from August 30 to September 3, 2027, the next academic session is scheduled to commence on October 4, 2027.
Students are advised to keep the academic calendar handy and take note of important dates throughout the session to avoid missing registration, lectures, examinations and other academic activities.
