CONFLUENCE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EXPELS 5 MORE STUDENTS FOR VARIOUS MISCONDUCT
The Senate of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) has approved the immediate expulsion of four students and the rustication of one other following serious violations of the institution’s rules and regulations.
The decision was ratified during the Senate’s 30th Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. In separate letters issued by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), Mr. Eli Usman Gbadafu, the affected students were notified that their sanctions take immediate effect.
I. SUMMARY OF DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, commended the Students’ Disciplinary Committee for their diligent investigation. He reaffirmed that the university will continue to prioritize both character and learning, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward indiscipline.

II. INSTITUTIONAL STANCE ON CONDUCT
The University Management emphasized that these measures are necessary to preserve the integrity of the learning environment. The specific offences cited—ranging from violent physical assault and stabbing to cyber-related misconduct (cloning pictures) and violations of moral codes—were found to be in direct contradiction to the students’ matriculation oath.

III. NOTICE TO THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
All affected students are expected to vacate the university premises and return all institution-owned property in their possession immediately. Students are further reminded to remain law-abiding and focus on their academic and moral development.
