OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY [OAU] BEGINS UPLOADING OF NAMES ON JAMB CAPS FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has officially commenced the uploading of admission lists on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This development is an exciting moment for aspirants who participated in the Post-UTME screening exercise of the prestigious institution. Candidates are now advised to log in to their JAMB CAPS profile regularly to check their admission status.

It is important to note that the admission process is gradual, meaning that not all candidates will see updates at once. If your status currently shows “Not Admitted,” you are encouraged to keep checking, as more names will continue to be uploaded in batches.

Steps to Check Admission on JAMB CAPS:

1. Visit the JAMB CAPS portal via efacility.jamb.gov.ng.

2. Log in with your JAMB registration number and password.

3. Click on “Check Admission Status.”

4. Navigate to Admission Status and click “Access CAPS.”

5. If offered admission, click “Accept” to confirm your place.

Candidates are also reminded to ensure that their O’level results are properly uploaded on the JAMB portal, as failure to do so may hinder admission processing.

Once admitted, students are expected to proceed with the acceptance of admission and later follow the university’s instructions for payment of acceptance fees and other registration formalities.

Obafemi Awolowo University, widely recognized for its academic excellence and strong alumni base, remains one of Nigeria’s most competitive universities, receiving tens of thousands of applications yearly. Candidates who have been offered admission should count it as a major achievement and prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.

We congratulate all aspirants who will make it to the OAU admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session and wish them success as they begin their higher education journey.
