UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN (UNILORIN) RELEASES POST-UTME SCREENING RESULTS FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

📢 UNILORIN 2025/2026 Pre-Admission Screening Scores Released

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) wishes to inform all candidates who took part in the 2025/2026 Post-UTME exercise that the Pre-Admission Screening Scores have now been officially released.

This means every candidate who sat for the screening test can now log in to the University’s admission portal to view their individual scores and overall aggregate performance.

🔑 How the Aggregate Score Is Calculated

Your final pre-admission screening score is not only your Post-UTME mark. UNILORIN uses a three-part aggregate system to ensure a fair and balanced evaluation:

UTME or Direct Entry Score – 50% Weighting

Half of your total screening score comes from your UTME result (or Direct Entry equivalent).

A higher UTME score automatically contributes a bigger portion to your aggregate.

Post-UTME Screening Score – 30% Weighting

Your performance in the University’s own Post-UTME test makes up 30% of the total.

Accuracy, speed, and preparation for this test are therefore critical.

Five (5) Relevant O’Level Grades – 20% Weighting

Your best five relevant subjects (usually including English Language and Mathematics) count for the remaining 20%.

Excellent grades here give you a stronger overall score.

The combined percentage from these three areas produces your final screening aggregate, which UNILORIN will use to determine admission.

🖥️ Steps to Check Your Score

Visit the UNILORIN Admission Portal:

Go to 👉 https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng

Log In with Your Details:

Enter your JAMB Registration Number and the password sent to your email during registration.

View Your Result:

Once logged in, click on “Screening Result” or “Check Score” to see your full breakdown.

Print or Save a Copy:

For future reference and admission processes, print a copy or save a PDF of your result.

⚠️ Important Reminders for All Candidates

O’Level Upload Is Mandatory:

Only candidates who correctly uploaded their O’Level results on both the JAMB portal and the UNILORIN portal will be considered for admission.

If your upload is missing or incomplete, your name may not appear on the admission list even if you have a high aggregate.

Participation Is Key:

Admission consideration is strictly for those who actually sat for the Post-UTME screening. If you missed the exercise, you are not eligible.

Check Regularly:

Keep monitoring both the University portal and your personal email for updates on departmental cut-off marks, admission lists, and further instructions.

✅ Next Steps

Candidates who meet the departmental cut-off marks (to be announced soon) will move forward to the admission offer stage. Ensure all your details—names, date of birth, and O’Level subjects—match across your JAMB and UNILORIN profiles to avoid delays.

Congratulations to every candidate who successfully checked their score. Stay attentive, keep your login details safe, and be ready for the next stage of the 2025/2026 admission process.

JUPEB RELEASES 2025 EXAMINATION RESULTS

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) has officially released the results of its 2025 examination. This announcement brings great relief and excitement to thousands of candidates across the country who sat for the exams earlier this year.

Candidates who participated in the 2025 JUPEB examination can now check their results online through the official JUPEB result-checking portal. Students are expected to use their examination numbers and valid credentials to access their results without any difficulty.

JUPEB serves as a direct entry pathway into Nigerian universities, allowing successful candidates to gain admission into 200 level in participating institutions without going through UTME. With the release of the results, universities across the country will soon begin admission processing for JUPEB candidates into various undergraduate programmes.

Candidates are strongly advised to print out their results and keep them safe, as they will be required during the admission process. It is also important for students to contact their chosen universities for updates on how to use their JUPEB results for admission purposes.

For those who may not have performed as expected, JUPEB also provides opportunities to reapply or consider alternative admission options through JAMB or other programmes.

🎉 Congratulations to all successful candidates who passed the 2025 JUPEB examination. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey into the university system.

Important Information for Candidates’ not yet Admitted!

Commencement of 2025/2026 Admission Exercise and Activation of the

JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS)

This is to notify candidates seeking admission into Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for

2025/2026 academic session that the JAMB CAPS has been activated for the admission exercise.

This means that candidates can now closely monitor their admission status and easily know when

they have been offered admission. We, therefore, advise candidates to closely monitor their

admission status on JAMB CAPS to do the needful as soon as possible.

To monitor your admission through CAPS, take the following 5 important steps:

1. VERIFY YOUR O’LEVEL UPLOAD:

a. Log-in to their JAMB profile (https://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility_/)

b. Click on ‘Check Admission Status,

c. Click on ‘Access my CAPS’

d. Click on ‘My O’level result to confirm if your O’level is uploaded. If not, visit any

nearby accredited JAMB CBT centre or Ignatius Ajuru University of Education ICT

centre to upload your O’level result. Admission cannot be processed for candidates

whose O’level status in CAPS indicates ‘Awaiting Result’.

2. KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED ADMISSION:

Following the above instructions above, click on Admission Status to monitor your

admission. This will enable you to know when you have been recommended for

admission or admission approved by JAMB. If you are recommended for admission and

the admission is approved by JAMB, you can go ahead and accept your admission, print

your admission letter, and follow other directives from the University for Clearance.

Details for clearance will be released on the university website and other

communication channels of the university.

3. APPROVAL OF TRANSFER OF PROGRAMME:

In line with the CAPS implementation policy, the university will consider some

students for transfer from the choice programme to another programme because of

UTME and O’level combinations, therefore, following instructions 1-3 above,

candidates are also expected to monitor their admission further by clicking the ‘Transfer

Approval’ link to know if they are recommended for transfer to another program. You are required to either accept or reject, this transfer consideration. If you accept, your

first-choice institution will be able to admit you to the new program. If you reject, you

will remain in your preferred Course / Program. The program transfer will not be

effected.

4. CANDIDATES WITH AWAITING RESULT:

UTME candidates with O/level awaiting results should upload their results on the JAMB

portal and university portal respectively. Direct-entry candidates including JUPEB

students should also upload their A’level and O’level results to avoid disqualification. This

is to enable the screening officers in the university to determine their qualifications for

admission.

5. HOW TO CHECK ADMISSION STATUS ON JAMB CAPS

– Visit: http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/login with your registered email address and

password to access your dashboard.

– After you have logged in, click on check admission status.

– Input your JAMB registration number and click on Access My CAPS.

– You will be redirected to a new page, click on admission status

– Confirm if you have been recommended, offered admission or not.

Note: If you are using a phone, you may not see the option to check Admission Status on CAPS,

most phone users may only see the welcome message. The caps page shows only welcome
