KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY (KWASU) RELEASES SECOND BATCH ADMISSION LIST ON SCHOOL PORTAL FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

KWASU Releases Second Batch Admission List on School Portal

The Management of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has officially announced the release of the Second Batch Admission List for the 2025/2026 academic session. This update brings great excitement to thousands of applicants who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of the next phase of the university’s admission process.

The release of the second batch gives hope to candidates who may not have secured admission in the first round. KWASU has maintained a reputation for conducting a transparent and merit-based admission exercise, ensuring that every qualified candidate is given a fair chance to gain entry into the institution.

Why the Second Batch Matters

Many prospective students know that the first batch of any university admission list usually contains candidates with the highest scores and those who met all criteria at the earliest stage. However, the second batch is just as important because it accommodates applicants who meet the requirements but whose admission processes may have taken a little longer to finalize.

It also covers candidates whose first-choice course may have been oversubscribed, thereby allowing the school to place them in related departments where there are still available slots.

For parents and guardians, this announcement is a welcome relief, especially for those whose wards were still anxious after the first batch was released. It serves as a reminder that patience often pays off in the competitive Nigerian university admission process.

Steps to Check Your Admission Status

Candidates are advised to carefully follow the steps below to confirm whether their names appear on the second batch list:

Visit the KWASU Admission Portal

Go to 👉 https://portal.kwasu.edu.ng using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a stable internet connection.

Log In to Your Student Dashboard

Enter your JAMB Registration Number as your username and use the password you created during your application.

If you have forgotten your password, use the “Forgot Password” option to reset it.

Check Your Admission Status

Once logged in, click on the tab that says “Check Admission Status.” Your admission decision will be displayed. Candidates offered admission will see details of the programme or course assigned to them.

Accept the Offer

Follow the on-screen instructions to accept the admission offer. This typically involves the payment of a non-refundable acceptance fee, which officially secures your place in the university.

Print Your Admission Letter

After accepting the offer, candidates should print the KWASU Admission Letter, which will be required during clearance and registration.

Next Steps After Admission

Securing admission is only the first step. Newly admitted students are strongly advised to:

Pay the Acceptance Fee Promptly: Early payment confirms your intention to join KWASU and secures your spot in your department of choice. Delay in payment might lead to forfeiture of the admission.

Upload O’level Results on JAMB CAPS: Ensure your O’level (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) results are uploaded correctly on the JAMB portal. Failure to do this could result in your admission not being recognized by JAMB, which is necessary for final approval.

Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS:

Visit 👉 https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.

Log in with your email and password used for JAMB registration.

Click on Check Admission Status → Access My CAPS → Admission Status.

Click Accept if you wish to proceed with the offer.

Prepare Your Documents for Clearance: Required documents often include the JAMB admission letter, O’level certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, state of origin certificate, and evidence of payment of acceptance fee.

For Candidates Not Yet Admitted

If your status shows “Admission in Progress” or “Not Admitted,” do not panic. KWASU typically releases its admission list in batches. This means more names will still be uploaded in the coming days or weeks.

Ensure you regularly check both the KWASU portal and JAMB CAPS for updates.

It is also wise to confirm that you have satisfied all eligibility criteria:

KWASU must be your first-choice institution.

Your UTME score should meet the minimum departmental cut-off mark.

Your O’level results must be correctly uploaded and must include at least five credits relevant to your chosen course, including English and Mathematics.

Support for Parents and Guardians

For parents and guardians, the period following the release of admission lists is often filled with mixed emotions—excitement for those admitted and anxiety for those still waiting.

KWASU encourages parents to support their children by ensuring all payments are made through the official school portal and by helping them prepare the required documents for registration.

Parents are also reminded to avoid unofficial “agents” who promise to secure admission for a fee. The university has repeatedly warned that admission is strictly merit-based and can only be confirmed via the official channels.

About KWASU

Kwara State University is recognized for its academic excellence, serene learning environment, and commitment to innovation. Over the years, it has become one of Nigeria’s fast-growing universities, attracting students from across the country and beyond.

Its programmes span across multiple faculties, including Engineering, Pure and Applied Sciences, Management and Social Sciences, Education, and Agriculture, ensuring students receive both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to today’s job market.

Final Words

The release of the Second Batch Admission List marks another milestone in KWASU’s 2025/2026 admission exercise. For candidates who have been offered admission, this is the beginning of an exciting academic journey that promises to shape their future careers.

KWASU congratulates all successful candidates and warmly welcomes them to the university community. For those still waiting, there is still hope as more batches are expected. Stay patient, remain vigilant, and keep checking the portals regularly.

🎉 Congratulations once again to all newly admitted students!

Welcome to Kwara State University, Malete, where excellence meets opportunity.
