BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO (BUK) RELEASES POST-UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM FOR THE  2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially commenced the 2026/2027 Online Admission Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes. The university has also released the approved minimum UTME cut-off marks for all courses and faculties.

Candidates who selected BUK as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored the required minimum cut-off mark are invited to participate in the screening exercise.

Screening Period

The online screening exercise will run from:

Friday, 19th June 2026 to Sunday, 16th August 2026.

Candidates are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period, as late applications will not be considered.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:

  • Choose Bayero University, Kano as their first-choice institution.
  • Meet the minimum UTME cut-off mark for their chosen course.
  • Possess the required O’Level credits relevant to their programme.

Faculty of Agriculture

  • All programmes – 160

Faculty of Allied Health Sciences

  • Environmental Science – 160
  • Medical Laboratory Science – 200
  • Nursing – 210
  • Physiotherapy – 190
  • Radiography – 190
  • Doctor of Optometry – 190

Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies

  • All programmes – 160

Faculty of Social Sciences

  • Criminology and Security Studies – 160
  • International Relations – 160
  • Library and Information Science – 160
  • Political Science – 160
  • Sociology – 160

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine – 170

Candidates should refer to the official BUK bulletin for the complete list of cut-off marks for all faculties and programmes.

Screening Fee

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.

Payment can be made online using debit/credit cards or by printing the payment invoice and paying at designated commercial banks.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the BUK screening portal.
  2. Log in using your UTME Registration Number as your username and your UTME aggregate score as your password.
  3. Complete your profile and upload the required information.
  4. Generate your Personalised Payment Invoice (PPI).
  5. Pay the screening fee and print your acknowledgement slip after successful payment.

Important Notice

  • Candidates must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal.
  • Providing false information will lead to disqualification.
  • A maximum of two O’Level sittings is allowed.
  • Blind and foreign candidates are exempted from the aptitude test but must complete the online registration.
  • Candidates who fail to register before the deadline will not be considered for admission.
