Following technical issues experienced by the parent institution, The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), the Management of the College hereby informs all staff, students, and the general public that the Undergraduate (Degree) Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been rescheduled.

This adjustment is a strategic necessity to ensure full technical synchronization with the parent university’s portal and database, ensuring that the formal induction of all degree students is properly recorded and validated.

REVISED MATRICULATION SCHEDULE

All undergraduate students enrolled in the various degree programs are directed to take note of the following changes:

  • Original Scheduled Date: Friday, April 17, 2026

  • New Confirmed Date: Tuesday, 21st April, 2026

  • Venue: College Convocation Square / Designated Faculty Grounds

  • Time: 10:00 AM Prompt

Important Note: Degree students are advised to maintain close contact with their respective Heads of Departments (HODs) and Faculty Officers for any further updates regarding specific seating arrangements or slight shifts in the procession order for the new date.

NCE MATRICULATION AND CULTURAL FESTIVITIES

For the avoidance of doubt, this postponement applies EXCLUSIVELY to the Undergraduate (Degree) session. All other academic and social activities concerning the NCE programs remain unchanged:

  • NCE Matriculation Ceremony: Will proceed as earlier scheduled.

  • Cultural Dance & Exhibition: Remains as scheduled for the original dates.

  • Orientation Exercises: All NCE orientation activities will continue without interruption.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MATRICULANTS

To ensure a seamless exercise on the new date, all undergraduate matriculants must comply with the following:

  1. Academic Gowns: Students who are yet to secure their academic gowns should visit the College Store or their Faculty Office immediately.

  2. Clearance & Registration: Use this window of extension to finalize all pending online registrations and departmental clearances.

  3. Matriculation Oath: All students must ensure they have a copy of the Matriculation Oath ready for the formal swearing-in.

  4. Dress Code: The College maintains a strict formal dress code. Students are expected to appear in sober, professional attire beneath their academic gowns.

FINAL ADVISORY

Management deeply regrets any inconvenience this change of date may cause parents, guardians, and our distinguished guests. This shift is aimed solely at protecting the academic integrity of our students’ records with the parent university.

We look forward to a successful ceremony as we officially welcome our degree students into the scholarly community.

Please be guided accordingly.

Signed: Management Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare (Affiliated to the University of Maiduguri)
