AIR FORCE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (AFIT) EXTENDS POST-UTME APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has announced an extension of the registration deadline for its 2026/2027 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise.

The registration exercise, which was initially scheduled to close on July 31, 2026, has now been extended by one week. The new deadline for registration is Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Prospective candidates who are yet to complete their registration are advised to take advantage of the extension and complete the process before the new closing date.

Candidates Who Did Not Choose AFIT as First Choice

Candidates who did not initially select the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) as their first-choice institution but wish to gain admission into the institution can still apply.

Such candidates are advised to visit any JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to effect the necessary change of institution or course to AFIT and complete their Post-UTME registration within the extended registration period.

Important Notice to Already Registered Candidates

Candidates who have already completed their registration are advised to log back into the Post-UTME portal and select their preferred examination centre.

The available examination centres are:

• Lagos
• Port Harcourt
• Abuja

After selecting their preferred examination centre, candidates should print their acknowledgement slip, which contains important details such as their examination date and venue.

Final Reminder

All prospective candidates are encouraged to complete their registration and other necessary admission procedures before Sunday, August 16, 2026, as applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered.

Candidates should also ensure that they provide accurate information during registration and regularly check the official AFIT portal for further updates regarding the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
