AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) ANNOUNCES POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) has announced the date for the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a special bulletin issued by the university, the ceremony is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

ABU POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The matriculation ceremony will take place at the:

Venue: Postgraduate College Auditorium, Ahmadu Bello University, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.

The ceremony will formally mark the students’ entry into the university and provide an opportunity for newly admitted postgraduate students to accept the values, responsibilities and expectations of the institution.

The Matriculation Oath will also be administered to the students during the ceremony.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY

Ahmadu Bello University stated that participation in the matriculation ceremony is mandatory for all fresh postgraduate students.

All students are expected to appear fully robed in academic gowns and comply with the instructions and appropriate conduct throughout the ceremony.

New postgraduate students are therefore advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled date.

ACADEMIC GOWNS AND MATRICULATION OATH FORMS

The university further stated that newly admitted postgraduate students are to obtain their academic gowns and Matriculation Oath Forms from Room B9, Postgraduate College.

Students are required to pay ₦3,000 at the College Cash Office before collecting the gowns and forms.
