ABDULKADIR KURE UNIVERSITY, MINNA (AKUM) RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM) has officially announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its various undergraduate programmes.
According to the university, the online screening registration will run from Wednesday, August 5, 2026, to Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Candidates who selected Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as eligible Direct Entry applicants, are invited to complete their online screening within the stipulated period.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Have selected Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna as their first-choice institution.
- Meet the minimum UTME score for their chosen programme.
- Possess the required O’Level qualifications for admission.

- Nursing Science – 190
- Medical Laboratory Science – 180
- Public Health – 180
- Environmental Health Science – 180
- Complementary and Alternative Medicine – 170
Faculty of Computing
- Computer Science – 180
- Cyber Security – 180

Faculty of Engineering and Innovation
The following programmes require a minimum UTME score of 190:
- Agricultural and Bio-system Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Faculty of Sustainable Agriculture and Biotechnology
Candidates must score between 160 and 170 depending on their chosen programme, including:

Faculty of Management Sciences
Minimum UTME score: 160

How to Apply
Eligible candidates should complete their registration by following these steps:
- Visit the Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna Post-UTME Portal at students.akum.edu.ng.
- Click Select Application Portal.
- Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as your username and any of your names as your password.
- Complete your profile with the required information.
- Proceed to make payment of the ₦2,000 screening fee.
- Print your acknowledgement slip immediately after successful payment.
Important Information
Candidates should note the following:
- Registration runs from August 5 to August 30, 2026.
- Candidates must upload their WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS or equivalent O’Level results on both the JAMB CAPS and the AKUM portal.
- Direct Entry candidates must upload both their O’Level and A’Level qualifications.
- Only candidates whose credentials are uploaded on both platforms will be considered for admission.
- Applicants are allowed to combine a maximum of two O’Level sittings.
- Providing false information during registration will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Direct Entry candidates will undergo a compulsory physical verification of their A’Level qualifications before admission is offered.
Application Deadline
The online Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration will officially close on:
Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Candidates who fail to complete their registration before the deadline will not be considered for admission into Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Prospective applicants are advised to complete their registration early and ensure all required documents are correctly uploaded to avoid delays during the admission process.
