ADEYEMI FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION (AFUED), ONDO STATE ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATE FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS OF THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The newly admitted students of Adeyemi Federal University, Ondo State (AFUED) is set to resume on the December 4, 2026. However, screening is scheduled to commence on November 23 and ends December 4, 2026.

According to the approve University calendar, the academic session officially commenced on October 11, 2026, with teaching orientation activities for Degree Ill and IV students, while the teaching practice scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026. The calendar also provides information for the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIES), with orientation scheduled for October 20, 2026, and the exercise commencing on November 2, 2026.

Academic activities for the first semester will resume on January 4, 2027, when lectures and registration are scheduled to begin for undergraduate students. The registration deadline is January 24, while late registration with a penalty will commence on January 25. A further late-registration period, attracting an additional penalty, is scheduled to run from February 8 to February 21, 2027.

Lectures for regular undergraduate students are scheduled to end on March 19, 2027, followed by revision from March 22 to March 26. First-semester examinations will commence on March 29 and end on April 23, 2027, marking the conclusion of the first semester for regular undergraduate students.

The second semester is scheduled to begin on May 9, 2027, with students expected to return to residence ahead of the commencement of lectures and registration on May 10. Registration will close on May 28, while late registration with a penalty will run from May 30 to June 11.

Lectures for the second semester are scheduled to end on July 16, 2027, with revision exercises taking place from July 19 to July 23. Examinations will begin on July 26 and conclude on August 20, 2027, marking the end of the 2026/2027 academic session for regular students.

The calendar also outlines a separate schedule for students in the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) programme. Their first-semester activities are icheduled to commence in January 2027, with lectures beginning on January 15 and examinations running from April 19 to April 24. Teaching practice for PDE students is scheduled to begin on May 3 and end on July 23, 2027.

For the PDE programme’s second semester, lectures are scheduled to begin on August 20, 2027, while examinations are expected to take place from November 22 to November 27, 2027.

The approved calendar further provides for meetings of the Senate, Committee of Deans, faculty boards of studies and other university committees throughout the session.

Students are expected to take note of the scheduled dates for registration, lectures, revision and examinations to ensure compliance with the university’s academic requirements. The calendar serves as a guide for the coordination of academic activities and institutional planning throughout the sessions.
