CHUKWUEBUKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU UNIVERSITY (COOU) RELEASES UPDATED LIST OF CANDIDATES YET TO ACCEPT THEIR ADMISSION ON JAMB CAPS FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION 

The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, has released an updated list of candidates who are yet to accept their admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement was made on Monday, October 26, 2026, by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Harrison Madubueze, through the official COOU News platform.

According to the university, the release follows the commencement of admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session. After offers of admission were made to successful candidates, the management of the university reviewed the status of acceptances on the JAMB portal and found that a number of candidates had not yet accepted their offers.

As a result, the university published the names of the affected candidates so that they can take action before it is too late.

As of October 26, 2026, the affected candidates are urgently requested to visit the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS) and accept their admission.

The university explained that the list is meant to remind candidates of this important step and to make sure that no one loses a place simply because the acceptance process was not completed.

DETAILS OF THE LIST

• The updated list contains the names of 700 aspirants who are yet to accept their admission offers.

• The list shows each candidate’s name, sex, state and course of admission.

• The list will continue to be updated as more names drop, in order to ensure that everyone is carried along.

This means candidates who do not see their names today should still check back from time to time, as new names may be added in the coming days.

WHAT CANDIDATES SHOULD DO

Candidates who see their names on the list are advised to take the following steps:

1. Open the list and confirm that their name, state and course of admission are correctly stated.

2. Log in to their JAMB CAPS profile without delay.

3. Accept the admission offer made to them.

4. Make sure the acceptance is completed successfully, to avoid losing their place.

Candidates are also advised to log in with their own details and to avoid sharing their JAMB login information with unknown persons or so-called agents.

APPEAL TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

The university also encouraged candidates, parents and guardians to share the information with their loved ones who may have been offered admission, especially those who may not have access to the internet or may not be following the university’s announcements closely.

By spreading the message, the university believes that more candidates will be reached in time and no qualified candidate will miss out on the opportunity because of delay.

A NOTE TO ALL ADMITTED CANDIDATES

Candidates are reminded that the acceptance of admission on JAMB CAPS is an important step in the admission process. Failure to accept an offer within the required time may result in the loss of the admission, and the space may be given to another candidate.

Candidates are therefore advised to act promptly, follow only the official channels of the university and JAMB for information, and ensure that all necessary steps are completed as directed.
