UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA [UNIABUJA] BEGINS UPLOADING NAMES ON JAMB CAPS FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has reportedly commenced uploading candidates’ names to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The development is important for candidates who applied to the university through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) and are awaiting admission decisions.

Candidates are advised to monitor their admission status regularly through JAMB CAPS and the university’s official admission portal.

How to Check UNIABUJA Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates can follow these steps to check their admission status:

1. Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
2. Log in using the email address and password associated with their JAMB profile.
3. Select Check Admission Status.

5. Select Admission Status to see the latest update on their application.

Candidates accessing the portal on a mobile phone may need to use a browser’s desktop-site option if all CAPS features are not displayed.

What Should Candidates Do Next?

Candidates who applied to UNIABUJA should take the following steps:

• Check JAMB CAPS regularly for admission updates.
• Ensure their O’Level results have been uploaded to their JAMB profiles.
• Monitor the university’s official website for admission announcements and further instructions.
• Accept an admission offer on CAPS when one is officially made and they intend to take it.
• Follow the university’s instructions for subsequent screening and registration.

Important Notice to UNIABUJA Aspirants

The uploading of names to JAMB CAPS does not necessarily mean that every applicant has been offered admission. Admission decisions may be processed in stages, and candidates may receive updates at different times.

Candidates should also note that an admission status that has not changed does not automatically mean they have been rejected.

For reliable updates, visit the official University of Abuja website and the JAMB CAPS portal.

Disclaimer: Candidates should confirm the latest admission developments through official university and JAMB channels, as the commencement of uploads has not been independently confirmed by an official announcement at the time of writing.
