The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, has officially released the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session, outlining important academic activities, registration periods, lecture commencement dates, examinations, matriculation ceremonies and other university events for the session.

The newly released calendar provides a comprehensive breakdown of activities for both fresh and returning students, beginning in October 2026 and ending in October 2027.

According to the calendar signed by the University Registrar, Chris U. Obi, MNIM, FIPMA, KSC, returning students from 200 Level to final year are expected to return to campus on Monday, October 5, 2026, while online registration for returning students will commence on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Lectures for returning students are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, 2026, while fresh students are expected to commence their online registration on Monday, November 16, 2026.

The calendar also contains information about the Christmas and New Year break, first and second semester examinations, matriculation, orientation, university-wide quizzes, Students’ Union Week and other important activities.

All students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University are advised to carefully study the released academic calendar and take note of the dates relevant to their respective levels.

COOU 2026/2027 ACADEMIC CALENDAR: IMPORTANT DATES TO NOTE

OCTOBER 2026

The university will commence the 2026/2027 academic session with the return of old students and the commencement of online registration.

  • Monday, November 9, 2026: Late registration for returning students commences with a penalty fee of ₦20,000.
